Scientific Research WorkS Peer Support Group (SRWS-PSG) is an independent, non-profit research and education organization based in Osaka, Japan. We support clinicians and other health professionals in conducting and publishing clinical research, including systematic reviews, through peer support, mentoring, seminars, and writing retreats.

Purpose and activities (from the Articles of Incorporation)
Article 3 (Purpose) The purpose of the Association is to contribute to the advancement of science and the promotion of public health by training members who can conduct clinical research, including systematic reviews, and by fostering cooperation among members and with related academic societies, thereby increasing the publication of medical papers, the development of clinical practice guidelines, and the conduct of clinical research by its members.
Article 4 (Activities) To achieve this purpose, the Association carries out the following activities nationwide:
- Operation of an information-exchange group
- Seminars
- Mentoring
- Writing retreats
- Networking and fellowship among members
- Collaboration and cooperation with organizations sharing the same purpose
- Other activities necessary to achieve the purpose of the Association
Article 42 (No distribution of surplus) The Association shall not distribute any surplus.

Governance
The Association is governed by a general meeting of members (shain sokai) and a board of directors. Under the Articles of Incorporation, the board consists of three to five directors and one or two auditors, all elected by the general meeting of members (Articles 23 and 24). The Representative Director is elected by the board from among the directors.

Research and educational activities
Our activities began in 2014 as a peer-support community for clinical research (see our report in BMC Medical Education), moved to a voluntary online group in 2019, and were incorporated in October 2024. The Association is registered in the Research Organization Registry (ROR) as a non-profit research organization. Members of the Association have authored Cochrane reviews and numerous systematic reviews, and conduct research on research methodology and clinical research education.
