Yuki Kataoka, MD, MPH, DrPH is a physician and clinical epidemiologist, and a Director of the Scientific Research WorkS Peer Support Group (SRWS-PSG). He is Lecturer at the Center for Postgraduate Clinical Training and Career Development, Nagoya University Hospital, and works as an internist at Kyoto Min-iren Asukai Hospital. His research covers evidence synthesis, the use of large language models to accelerate it, and clinical research education for health professionals. His catchphrase is Clinical research for everyone.

Current research project and SDGs

Evidence synthesis accelerated by large language models. Systematic reviews are the backbone of evidence-based health care, but producing and updating them is slow and labour-intensive. This project develops and evaluates large language model based methods for screening, data extraction, reporting-guideline adherence checking and guideline updating, so that reliable evidence reaches clinicians and patients faster. It contributes to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education).
